Steel gravity valveless filter
Gravity valveless filter is an ideal water treatment equipment due
to its diversified applicant on surface water purifying, purifying
iron and manganese from underground water, by pass flow circulating
water purifying , removing suspend impurities of production
wastewater, secondary filtration of organic wastewater by
biological and secondary settlement treatment as well as indoor
swimming pool water filtration.
Currently, our mill has two series valveless filter
One is square shape filter tank LSM-LL model with water filter
capacity range from 20mm3/h to175m3/h,
The other is round shape filter tank LRM—Ⅱ,LRM—Ⅲ model with water
filter capacity range from 20mm3/h to 80 m3/h, 200mm3/h to 750 m3/h respectively model over 200m3/h need site mounting and coating ,
after that it can run smoothly after adding filter media.
All our LSM—Ⅱ,LRM—Ⅱ,LRM—Ⅲ series filter have no valve by running it

Type character meaning description:
LSM/LRM represents Loren square filter model and round filter model
20- Means each group filter capacity: 20 M3/H
I/II/III means the tank number of the group filter
1700 means the maximum permissible value of water head loss
Principle, design parameters
Raw water enter filter tank via inlet tube and carry on filtering
from upper to bottom, the clean water enter into water tank via
connecting tube, and the overflow clean water will enter clean tank
through outlet tube. The filter layers keep SS continuously with
resistance increased gradually to cause the siphon tube water level
increase accordingly till reach siphon auxiliary tube nozzle, the
water begin slowing down by suction of air in the siphon tube via
air pipe till the vacuum reach siphon value, this time the water
will flushing through filter layer from bottom to up to carry
backwashing till the clean water tank water level reach to siphon
stop tube , the air enter siphon tube to prevent further siphon and
the backwash stopped to finish one circulation and then another
circulation. Which make no sense to add backwashing tower to save
cost and room.
For the larger size, we added each group with three series of
maximum water loss: 1500mm, 1700mm, and 1900mm to facilitate high
head distribution for the water purifying plant.

Model Selection notice
1．Model :LSM20—Ⅱ—1700 to LSM80—Ⅱ—1700L six model all have both B
and B′ water outlet tube, user can connect either one of the tube
and stop another one ,
While from model LSM100—Ⅱ—1700 to model LSM175—Ⅲ—1700 whose two
outlet tubes of each group all need connecting with each other;
model from LRM200—Ⅱ to DBL500—Ⅱ or model from LRM300—Ⅲ to
LRM750—Ⅲ,whose inlet and outlet tube position not in line with
filter wall , please specify it and let us know the position.
2．This series of steel filter can be suitable for flexible tar
sands foundation whose infrastructure information and practices, if
needed , touch us directly.
3．The close distance between two ground steel filters can be 600mm
with both height tolerance ±5mm, total filters mounting height

Media and support media arrangement method
1. Clean all impurities after mounting the filter, then mark each
proof height line of each media and support media in filter inner
wall, double check each grain DN range to fill them from large to
small for real distribution.
2. Carry on support media arrangement from bottom average-thickness
support media (material) to upper in line with all formal marked
3. After finishing support media arrangement, then distribute
filter media same as before carefully to make sure its
proportionate arrangement in line with marked line by adjusting
them with blade.
1. When put filter into site position, must check level again to
make it mounted smooth and stable, it will be welded into the
bottom steel plates and fixed.
2. Water tank bolted with filter roof beam support to make two
weirs into same level height thus to safeguard the water

1. First running, use rubber tube to inject clean water into water
tank to make water going through filter from bottom to upper via
connecting tube to drain out the air in filter.
2. First backwashing , adjust the washing intensity into 1/4 of the
siphon reduce tube DN position via intensity adjusting device ,
after that , increase the opening degree gradually till regulated

position or being polluted esp.
when as by pass filtering circulated cooling water whose filter
media is easy to be polluted by algae, if found , must remove the
polluted media layer around 100mm thickness and then change it as
new filter media.
